A WPA document written in 1938 details the life of Alabama hay farmer W. Leonides Cockrell. Benjamin Latrobe was one of the designers of Washington, D.C. He first practiced architecture (1789-1791) in the London offices of S. P. Cockrell.Robert S. Cockrell served in the Florida Supreme Court from 1902 to 1917.
